SONILS HIGHLIGHTS THE IMPORTANCE OF HUMAN CAPITAL AND INVESTMENT IN INFRASTRUCTURE FOR THE EXCELLENCE OF OPERATIONS IN THE 5TH⁠ª EDITION OF ANGOLA OIL & GAS

Under the motto “Boosting Exploration and Development to Increase Production in Angola”, the 5th edition of Angola Oil & Gas took place from October 2 to 3. SONILS marked its presence with participation in debate panels, represented by the Director of Strategies and Corporate Relations, Pedro Oliveira, and the Commercial Director, Joaquim Chipuco.

During the panel “Local Content Strategies to Unlock Human Capital”, Director Pedro Oliveira highlighted SONILS’ commitment to the development of national talent, the quality and safety required by the industry.

In turn, Director Joaquim Chipuco, in the panel “Boosting Efficiency in Transport and Logistics”, highlighted SONILS’ commitment to offering logistics solutions that meet the needs and expectations of the sector.

Angola Oil & Gas stands out as the main meeting of industry leaders, with delegations from various parts of the world. The main objective of the event is to enhance the country’s energy future and strengthen global partnerships, aiming to attract more investments for projects, unlock opportunities, boost sustainable development and create jobs.

The Oil and Gas sector is the main engine of the Angolan economy, accounting for 34% of the gross domestic product (GDP), representing 96% of exports and 56% of the country’s tax revenue.

Angola is the second largest oil producer in sub-Saharan Africa and a global exporter of Liquid Natural Gas (LNG).
