PRESIDENT OF NAMIBIA VISITS SONILS AND PRAISES THE OPERATIONAL CAPACITY AND CONTRIBUTION TO ANGOLA

During a brief two-day state visit, the President of the Republic of Namibia, His Excellency Nangolo Mbumba, included SONILS in his official agenda, highlighting the strategic importance of the logistics base for Angola. The main objective of the visit was to explore the business model, infrastructure and operations of Base.

Marcos, President Mbumba and his delegation have closely witnessed the crucial role that SONILS plays in the oil and gas sector in Angola since 1995, standing out in the market with a consolidated reputation as the main provider of logistics support for this industry in the country.

The visit was accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tête António, the Minister of Transport, Ricardo de Abreu, and the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, José Barroso. The latter emphasised the magnitude of SONILS in supporting the oil industry, highlighting it as an essential infrastructure for the energy sector of Angola. Considering the emerging discovery of oil reserves in Namibia, the vast experience and knowledge accumulated over almost 30 years of SONILS operations make it a valuable partner. President Mbumba was extremely satisfied and impressed with the potential of SONILS, recognising the value that the base brings not only to Angola, but also to the economic development of the region as a whole.
